So what's everyone else doing?

We have our annual New Year's Eve bash out here at the farm planned albiet with a few fewer people this year. Just a short list of the usual suspects and a hellofalot of booze.

Can't really do fireworks because of prolonged drought. :( But should have drunken frivolity anway. :)

ohh booy, gettin' down on the farm :) i remember doing stuff like that back in Okie-homa. i had an ex that invited me to go cow-tipping after the bday party. i really wasn't in the mood for it though. i maybe a someone of a country boy, but not THAT much :)

my girl and i were thinking of going to Boston for the New Years, but being under 21 and the fact that I don't want to drive an hour, etc. we may just hang out and drink a nice bottle of sparkling cider

well, cow tipping isn't really our "thang"... besides, we'd have to trespass on my neighbors place to do it, and he's a bit of a blow hard, and armed. naw, we'll just kick back, get drunk, and maybe skinny dip in the horse trough. :D

Wow Farm Life, scobe+ you from Okla-okla-oklahoma? I'm originally from Nebraska no wonder we don't like each other :) just kidding bud. I remember Cow Tipping, dropping off the Farmers Daughter - at the wrong farm, Playing baseball with cow chips as bases, hunting water mochasins with a 12 guage (overkill), sand bar river parties but the best memory is the bonfire parties. Crazy parties of five to six different towns in the middle of a field with a huge bonfire which flames easily reached 100+ feet. Ah yes memories, they nearly give me a hangover.

Have a Happy New Year All! and you be safe Target, there is nothing more dangerous than armed drunk people on New Years Eve out in the middle of nowhere. I fear for the farm animals.

LOL, orginally no. I lived in Oklahoma for 2-3 years. First in Altus & McAlester, OK (dad was civil service after the AF). Though I have to admit I did kind of like OK! :) as for Nebraska, well.... I wont hold that against ya! :D ;)

Just having some pizza, drinking my Pepsi, and working on code all day. I'll fly some online later on. :p

Hey, what'd you expect? I'm almost 45, I have a hard time meeting people even under the best of conditions, I'm not married, don't have a girlfriend, and all the people I know well live elsewhere.

Rub it in now, milady. Just grind that salt into the wounds!! ;)

It's NYC, oi vay, you'd think these people could figure out how to make a decent hamburger. As it is, I gotta travel all over the place just to get my favs. Chicago for bratwurst, Jody's for hamburgers, back to Chicago for pizza. I think they make Hoagies well here, but those things will give a person a heartattack in one sitting!! NYC isn't as bad as Texas when making brats though (never could figure out why people down there want to put BBQ sauce on a brat when any civilized person knows you put mustard on them - and maybe onions and peppers if you feel like having serious gas later on ;) ) The pizza's okay, although I'll never get used to what is referred to as New York style crust (basically a piece of paper with tomato sauce and cheese on it) NYC hamburgers are fairly dry (although they try to make for it by dumping all kinds of stuff on it - kinda like Chicago style garbage pizza, except for the dry thing) BION, the best chili I've ever had was in Missouri (outside St. Jo). Nice 'n Warm, but not so spicy that you feel like it's a survival test rather than a meal.

I've been told there're good burgers in this city. I figure that must be true; heck, in a place this big SOMETHING has to be right, true? So I'll keep looking.

BTW, I thought you and Matt were going to pop up for a visit sometime. As I'm still trying to get my finances settled out (switching careers will do that to a person), I'm not flexible enough to pop down there yet. Ai sha, I didn't even get over to Chicago to visit my mom, and she's only 800 miles away as opposed to 1500.

Well, we had a good one as usual. Had everyone out and blew fireballs in the backyard.

http://www.furball.warbirdsiii.com/media/jpg/newyears2006.jpg

All the new people think blowing fireball's is a joke.... or a special drink. But... uh... no, it's not.

The DRINK's are "flaming dr. peppers". 6oz. of beer in a glass... a "nearly full" shot of ameretto with 151 "spooned" or "floated" onto the top. Light the 151 up, drop the shot glass into the beer (making sure the fire was actually put out by the beer) then slug the whole shebang.

Didn't quite slug my entire FDP this year. Maybe next. <shrug>
