for those who can't make it to the iEN CON in July, the 31st FG is having a gathering in Dayton later this year. Here's some details posted by Daddy in the other forums.
However, several of us who are unable to attend in July are planning a Warbirders reunion in Dayton for the October 7 weekend. We would like to have the reunion in the same hotel as last year. The convention room they tossed in free of charge was really neat. Last year about 35-45 Warbirders met up in Dayton and it was a lot of fun. We expect around the same # of folks this year as it is looking like most of the 31st and several JG51ers will be able to attend. Throw in our Euro cousins and other local riff-raff<G> to the mix and it ought to be a super time.
Similar to last year we won't have PC-Gaming capabilities, but we are looking into another avenue for our informal dinner banquet. Taho, lives near Dayton and will be handling the finer details regarding the hotel. Last year was imo perhaps the best Warbirders gathering I've attended. The time spent with each other, socializing, drinking, and tossing the football made for an overall great time of fun and fellowship.
Taho or I will keep everyone tuned and up to date with the planning. However we want to be respectful of the IeN convention so expect to see more on this after July.
