well, let's see how good the "tech support" is...:o especially since i'm really a newbie when it comes to computer viruses, etc.

soooo.....i have had the good fortune in the past to be very lucky with avoding computer viruses and pretty lucky avoding spyware. however my PC has been bit once earlier in the fall with a computer virus that ended with me formating windows (it seemed to work).

well, now it's back! :( i started getting some XXX pop-ups (none of them were even desent!! :rolleyes: ). i ran Norton Anti-virus and it found a couple things and removed one and quartined the other. since then i haven't had any more pop-ups but IE will not go to my home page. instead, it keeps redirecting me here...

and says that i've been infected with "W32.Sinnaka.A@mm" though after a virus defenation update and another full scan, Norton said I'm clean. does anyone have any ideas? the two items in my Quaratine and Restore folder are..."Trojan.Zlob.D" and "Trojan.Spaxe" what should i do with these things now??

btw- Netscape seems to work fine. Go figure, though I have severly update it. <eek!>

You need to do this from netscape, consider IE dead until you fix this. Lastly, look into Firefox. www.mozilla.com/firefox/ Its the most secure browser I've found and the tabbing features, once mastered, make your daily browsing about 5 times faster.

thanks for the links Target! I D/Led Firefox and used it as my default browser as I messed with IE and finally got it to work properly. but I feel like messing around with Firefox now :) sooo...

anyway, mission accomplished!! now i think its time for me to have some fun in Need 4 Speed: Most Wanted :D
