The "HELP! Crusty old newbee" topic brought to mind a "question" I had when I first downloaded this game - do you(iENT) have any plans to redesign/update the totalsims website? I came looking for Dawn of Aces after trying that in beta? several years ago, and spent some time figuring out that I should download the wb3 client to get into DoA..of course, when I logged in that arena turned out to be dead, but that's not the point, I found happiness in WBs anyway :)
What struck me though was how anyone who don't know exactly what they are looking for actually manages to figure out that WB2005 is the "main" game, download it and get signed up for online play.
The main page seems to lack focus and still distinguishes between WBII, WB2005, DoA3, DoAII, AA and BoB..all these different versions must confuse most new players looking for an online flight sim?
Point is, I think a more focused frontpage with a helpful little rundown of "what is what" would really help get more players through the download-process and into online playing, which is what we all want. This example with blumagoo seems to highlight one of the reasons why so many of those who download a client end up playing it offline and/or just moving on.
Don't know if you even have the resources to do anything like that, just wanted to throw the question out there since it's been at the back of my mind since I started playing.
