Hmm... two spandau's and a D.III inline engine... sounds like an Albatros but the guns cut too far back into the pit.

It is this (almost) scratchbuild Fokker DVII at the " early birds" flying museum at Lelystad airport in The Netherlands.
The plane has an original cockpit, mercedes DIII engine and propellor. Can you imagine that wooden prop survived 90 years?

I think Geff promised the museum crew to wipe clean the hangar every day for the next five years if they allow him some stick time ;)

Don't know if I will be able to convince them they need me to fly those planes.

But hey, at least I have set in the original cockpits of a D.VII, Alb D.Va, Nieuport 17, Nieuport 28 and a few others and flew a couple of historical biplanes. Getting closer all the time ;-)
