The Imperial Japanese forces have a strong foothold in Burma. Though the tough determined defenses have delayed the Japanese, it is only a matter of time before they regain the momentum to push up the Burma Road. They are now on the verge of marching up the road, but the Ally forces have escaped and are digging in for a delaying action. Word is that the United States is preparing to take over the CBI theater, and that the Chinese are readying another massive army to be sent to south to help defend southern China.
Japan is running out of time. With key placements of troops and supplies, the IJ forces plan an offensive against the Chinese forces still in Burma and drive north into southern China. The JAAF has been tasked with destroying strong points and supply depots before the attack begins to help disrupt the already disorganized Ally forces and finish off what’s left of the poorly numbered AVG and RAF units still left in Burma and Southern China.
