Had a discussion a while back aboput switching some of the fm models and wondered if it is a quicker and easier fix than writing whole new fm's for certain aircraft.
Example, give the Fokker d-7 the fm model of the se5. right now there is nothing in doa that can compete with a properly flown se5.
or give the dva the flight model of the n17 or spad 7.
Been writing events and acting as a cm for every other tues night fight night in doa and its very difficult matching up planes for a fight that doesn't give a huge advantage in plane fm over another. Half the planes never get used as they are now because of this uncompatiability.
spent a ton of time flying all the models so as to teach and train and encourage people to fly all the present plane set but even as a trainer I have a very hard time flying some successfully against even a noob.
I know its really hard putting together compatable flight fm's as we really have not much idea how they really worked. Even my 1919 Janes edition of the worlds airplanes don't help much other than weights and time to alts and speeds at certain alts...good info but no info on roll rates etc.
