I have forgotten about this part of Furball. Here's my DOA Update in the skins department:

3 new Fokkers should be ready this week. Here's an Ernst Udet "camo" version of "Lo!":

Next up, same squadron, Jasta 4 plane:

And, Jasta 65 plane in colors of Heinrich Zempel, which I call the "Red Devil" also known as Trident Bearing Devil:

If you know a PDC member who hasn't voted yet, here's another plane to vote on. Tell PDC members to vote, it will be ready by this weekend.

This one is the classic Berthold plane.

http://www.iart7.com/WARBIRDS/gallery%20photos/BlueRedW94SM.jpg (http://www.iart7.com/WARBIRDS/gallery%20photos/BlueRedW94Med.jpg)

I did a fuselage cross and had it partially visible under the blue paint like Hantelmann's "totenkopf" plane. I also did a streaked one.

There's an excellent plastic model build here that I used as a reference. (http://www.theaerodrome.com/forum/models/34413-battle-axe-fokker-dvii-1-32-a-3.html)!!!

http://www.iart7.com/WARBIRDS/gallery%20photos/Berthold_128SM.jpg (http://www.iart7.com/WARBIRDS/gallery%20photos/Berthold_128Med.jpg)

Right off, I can tell from these screenshots, the nose needs to be a bit darker and the wheel cover lighter and less magenta (it doesn't match with the nose). And the streaky brown needs a bit more to the green and it doesn't show up quite right, maybe needs more contrast.

I agree, hey look great!..Unfortunately the DVII FM in DoA is so bad, Nobody will fly it.

The only place you'll see arts great work is on the ai, and thats a shame.:(

the position of the (overpainted) cross seems to be wrong:

Yes, that photo was presented to me at the Aerodrome. It's been fixed. Can't decide yet about the "streaky" middle, but will soon.

Thanks, EBO!

Have you seen my yellow Löwenhardt plane (http://www.iart7.com/WARBIRDS/gallery%20photos/Low_213Med.jpg)? I'd like your insight and comments on that one. Russel Smith did an awesome painting (http://www.theaerodrome.com/photopost/showphoto.php/photo/490/ppuser/1245) of it and said not much is really known about this plane. I want to submit it too.

If you've downloaded the yellow Löwenhardt (http://www.iart7.com/WARBIRDS/gallery%20photos/Low_213.jpg) plane, I added a third wire coming out of the rear fuselage. This wire (or cable) connects to the lower part of the rudder. Just a minor fix, but if you want a very slightly cooler looking canary for your birdcage, download it again.

See the small change here, under the tail wing.

Done :)

Any chance you'd be interested in doing some skins for the Dr1?

Ah, the Fokker Triplane!

I had not planned to, until someone asked me to do a black one like the Black Falcon in Flyboys. I've started doing research and collecting photos of a black DR1 with a "devil" on the side called the "god of the North wind". Know who flew that plane?

So, to answer you Bad: Yes, it's coming down the pike!

Hi Art!

Ltn Josef Jacobs (CO Jasta 7.) flew a black Fokker DrI 450/17 with the "God of the North wind" on the sides and the German crosses painted on top of both the upper and lower wings.

On this page there's even a real PHOTO of the bird:
http://www.wwimodeler.com/esc/fok/jacobs/black-3.html

The later paintjob of this plane is also quite striking!

Now start mixing that black paint bro ;)
